Mphasis develops AI framework to accelerate software development
Homegrown IT services firm Mphasis said on Thursday that it had developed a new deep learning-based framework that applies artificial intelligence across multiple stages of the software development process.
Developed by Mphasis NEXT Labs and called Autocode.AI, the framework can be used by software engineering teams for rapid prototyping and to accelerate the process of software development including new code creation based on unstructured inputs.
The Bengaluru-based firm said that Autocode.AI assesses vulnerabilities in code, automatically fixes bugs and automates deployment and management of code through cloud computing environments.
"In the midst of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, enterprises need to put software design and engineering centrestage by utilising advanced deep learning techniques that will bring coding into the future, and we do feel our solution can lead the way," said Nitin Rakesh, chief executive officer and executive director of Mphasis.
He added that Autocode also enables creation of hyper-personalised software.
A listed company, Mphasis serves marquee customers across the globe including banks and insurance companies.
Stelligent is a technology services company that specialises in software automation on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The deal marked Mphasis’ fifth acquisition overall and its first since 2012.
