The Delhi-NCR chapter of global entrepreneurship organisation The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) has announced a new programme called TiE Gold to accelerate companies to the growth stage.

As part of the initiative, a cohort of six startups will receive in-depth mentorship from charter members and get a platform to look for growth capital, said Geetika Dayal, executive director of TiE Delhi-NCR.

The cohort includes a diverse group of startups between one and five years of age. This includes in-store shopping app UniShop Technologies, wedding planning and services marketplace WedMeGood, 3D printing and prototyping services provider Morphedo Technologies, adventure travel company Deyor Camps, food-technology company Hoi Foods and Staqu Technologies, which provides plug-and-play AI technology solutions.

The pilot programme of TiE Gold has already been mentoring these companies for six months and it has not yet announced a time frame for completion.

Apart from extensive mentoring, the startups also receive guidance on improving their products and revenues.

“As of now we are focused on running one cohort a year,” Dayal told TechCircle. “We have senior board members including Saurabh Srivastava, Alok Mittal, Gita Dang, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Ashish Gupta and Raman Roy mentoring the cohort.”

Dayal added that the non-profit will consider announcing a new cohort depending on the performance of the current one.
