Fujitsu and NetApp have developed NFLEX Converged Infrastructure solution, which optimises the data centre for customers using SAP products and platforms. The pre-configured data centre infrastructure will work on Windows and Linux operating systems, the companies said in a statement.

NFLEX is scalable and suitable for entry-level SAP installations in small and medium organisations and can be installed in less than a day, the companies said.

The data centre solution will help enterprises to streamline the implementation and operation of SAP products and platforms.

Like the modern data centres, NFLEX also offers flexible data requirements in case the business volumes grow, the companies said, adding that the solution will reduce time to market for new SAP installations. The companies said that the new system is more agile, streamlined and reliable, offering the IT services from Fujistu at lower costs, and in turn increasing the uptime and productivity for their clients.

NFLEX for SAP is an update for the solution system that included unified management, updated configurations and new application solutions. The NFLEX system has been enhanced with a unified converged infrastructure manager, more flexible compute options and more powerful storage, the companies said. NetApp will soon roll out designs for Oracle and VMware later this year.

NFLEX for SAP is based on the latest Fujitsu PRIMERGY CX servers and NetApp's all-flash FAS/AFF storage, Fujitsu Server View Infrastructure Manager, and VDX switches from Extreme Networks.
