Tech giant Google has rolled out July security update, which includes fixes related to 11 issues, for Pixel and Nexus smartphones, reports said. The Android maker will roll out another update tomorrow fixing 32 issues, said 9to5Google.

The vulnerabilities range from high to critical, with the worst pertaining to media framework and a remote attacker possibly executing arbitrary code through a crafted file, 9to5Google added.

Users can manually install the fresh security patch on their devices, reports said.

The July update is a part of the newly arrived Android P Beta 3 release. The list of devices that are compatible with the latest security patch includes Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6P.

To download the security patch, users can check the availability of the update on the eligible Pixel or Nexus device by going to ‘Settings’, then ‘System Updates’. The devices need to run the latest Android Oreo version of the software to receive the update.

Google has been working hard in the security space, especially after the onslaught of cyber invasions across many platforms.
