Motorola launches all-metal body Moto M starting Rs 15,999

MOTO_MLenovo-owned smartphone-maker Motorola on Tuesday announced the launch of its all-metal body Moto M for Rs 15,999 for the 32GB and 3GB RAM variant and Rs 17,999 for the 64GB variant and 4GB RAM model.

The smartphone which was launched in China last month will be available in India exclusively on Flipkart starting December 14 at 11:59 pm.

Moto M features 5.5-inch Full HD display (1920X1080) and comes with Dobly Atmos speakers and a fingerprint scanner on the rear.

The phone comes with a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P15 processor and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow version out of the box. The Moto M smartphone is powered by a 3050 mAh battery and also supports fast charging.

On the imaging front, Moto M has a 16-megapixel rear camera with Phase-Detection Autofocus, and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. The Moto M connectivity suite includes Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/A-GPS, 4G VoLTE (with support for Indian LTE bands), USB Type-C (USB 3.1), NFC, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The phone comes with hybrid Dual-SIM slot which means users can also put in a MicroSD card in place of one SIM. Motorola says the phone supports MicroSD cards up to 128GB.

Moto M stands apart from its predecessors if you look at the design and the all-metal body.

The phone fits in the sub-20K category and will compete with the likes Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Motorola's G4 Plus and other smartphones in the price range from Samsung and LeEco.
