Video analytics startup Proof Of Performance appoints Rajeev Puri as CEO
Noida-based Proof of Performance Data Services Pvt Ltd (PoP), an outdoor advertising audit firm that offers insights to marketers based on the video analytics derived from real-world videos, has appointed Rajeev Puri as its new CEO. He will also be a member of the board.
Puri's mandate is to restructure PoP, grow customer base, seek opportune alignments and identify new revenue verticals, besides bringing on board new investors.
Puri has over 30 years industry experience in companies operating in consumer soft goods, consumer durable, automotive and healthcare. Prior to joining PoP, he was CEO at Incar Tanzania Ltd. In the past, he had held key roles at companies, including Shaw Wallace & Co, Thomson Consumer Electronics India, JK Tyre, and Dabur.

The company has managed to develop the technology to provide customers with reliable data and over the years, it has bagged major deals across sectors that validate the idea," said Puri.

PoP was founded in December 2010 by the husband-wife duo of Harjaap Singh and Arvinder. An alumnus of National Institute of Technology (Silchar), Harjaap had previously worked with Netica Solutions and also founded an NGO called Dwaar, for differently-abled people. Arvinder on the other hand, was part of the faculty of Kuoni Academy of Travel and Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training.
PoP captures and creates an archive of real-world data on the cloud. It allows and empowers any company that advertises outdoor to plan, execute, undertake compliance audit and analyse its marketing activities. Subscribers can use the relevant data to plan, monitor and analyse campaigns with accuracy and speed. Depending on the brand and the sector the software will tell a company where it should be advertising and the impact of the outdoor advert.
PoP is currently working with 20 clients that include brands, ad agencies, media asset owners, political parties and government organisations.
In 2012, PoP had raised an undisclosed amount in funding from early-stage VC firm, YourNest Angel Fund.
