Rishi Khiani-led Ant Farm's designer apparel e-store Stylista goes live
Mumbai-based Ant Farm, a startup platform set up by former Indiatimes CEO Rishi Khiani, has unveiled the third venture from its kitty called Stylista. An ecommerce startup, Stylista is an online designers' boutique focused on women.
As of now, it only offers western apparel for women. The site has an uncluttered UI and is easy to navigate. An additional feature, which differentiates it from many other etailers, is a short video of the garment. Stylista is looking at a niche audience who would be interested in designer labels.
Stylista would compete with ventures like Rooja and Kimaya besides other lifestyle e-tailers such as Myntra which has added a designers section within its site. It would also compete with designers' own online stores.
This is Ant Farm's third venture in the last seven months. The maiden venture Fork Media, an advertising related startup, went live in April this year. It was followed by travel-related venture Arrive going live in beta in July this year.
Talking to Techcircle.in earlier, Khiani had hinted that Stylista will be the next venture to be launched. He had shared that Stylista will be a platform for Indian fashion designers to reach out to a new set of audience. "At Stylista, we will co-create with the leading Indian designers and create looks from their designs for people who are willing to shell some extra money for designer merchandise. The collections will be priced lower than what they actually cost and slightly higher than what people are already paying for high-end brands," Khiani had said.
Set up in November last year, Ant Farm is kind of a hybrid startup platform that brings together people, helps in ideation or scaling up an existing idea and sees through its execution. Ant Farm is currently incubating five ventures – Stylista, Arrive, Social Plug, Teach Cast and Fork Media.
