Delhi-based startups Info Assembly & Langhar win US-based ARK Challenge, to receive $170K in funding each

Delhi-based startups Info Assembly and Langhar are among the three winners of the second chapter of The ARK Challenge, a mentorship-driven business accelerator programme for technology startups in Arkansas (US). The third winner is US-based mobile app developer Overwatch.

As part of the challenge, the three winners will receive $150,000 each in funding, in addition to $20,000 in seed funding (provided to all startups selected for the programme), taking the total to $170,000.

Founded by IIT Delhi alumnus Aditya Goel and IIT Roorkee alumnus Karthik Vaidyanath, Info Assembly has developed a search and analytics platform for investment research. The firm claims to provide hidden insights and actionable results to data-oriented users, to help them perform hours of research in minutes.

Founded by Karanpreet Singh, Pankaj Sharma, Pawan Saini and Sunil Kumar, Langhar.com is a marketplace that enables users to discover home cooked food. Langhar enables regular people (housewives, hobbyists) to convert their homes into restaurants to earn extra income and gain popularity. Singh holds a B Tech degree in software engineering from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Sharma is an IIT Delhi alumnus, while Kumar and Saini are alumni of Delhi University.

The ARK Challenge is a federal government-funded startup bootcamp. It is a full member of the Global Accelerator Network (GAN)- formerly known as the TechStars Network- and mainly focuses on internet and mobile technology startups. The incubatees will receive free office space, industry research, legal support and marketing services to promote their startups. They will also get product development and design support, promotion, networking with advisors and funders, as well as intensive mentoring from a group of mentors.
