One97 ropes in former Star India EVP as CFO; gets new board director

Delhi-based mobile internet company One97 Communications Ltd has roped in Raj Ahuja as its chief financial officer. Prior to joining One97, Ahuja was with Star India and worked as the executive vice-president (finance). He had also worked at Wipro as general manager (business finance) and was director (finance and operations) at NXP.

The company has also announced the expansion of its board by roping in Vivek N Gour as an independent director. He is also a board member at the NASDAQ-listed OTA MakeMyTrip. In addition to his new role as a director, Gour will also be the chairman of the audit committee at One97.

"I am excited to join the executive team at One97 that has been so smart and financially savvy with its operations," commented Ahuja on his new role. "I am impressed by the team's dedication, growth and customer focus. I look forward to help in driving and developing One97's business," he added.

The company has been expanding its key team for some time now. Recently, it hired Dushyant Saraswat as vice-president (business) and Aji Joseph as head of mobile marketing and advertising.
