Harness Handitouch raises angel investment from Club ah!

Chennai-based educational technology startup HarnessHanditouch Pvt Ltd has raised Rs 1 crore in angel funding from investors who are members of Club ah!, a network of investors and a part of ah! Ventures. ah! Ventures is a platform that brings investors and entrepreneurs together.

Harness Handitouch was founded by former McKinsey & Company consultant Subramanian Viswanathan in July, 2011. The company, which developed a new learning operating system called Touch-on-cloud to leverage on the penetration of Tablets among youth, operates in a B2B model in collaboration with schools.

"We are pioneering a new learning operating system called Touch-on-Cloud, which is an innovation extending from the hardware to the software layer, harnessing the tablet revolution, the promise of the cloud and the combined power of human and digital content," says the portal.

Club ah! is a network of around 150 investors which has invested in 8-9 companies prior to Harness Handitouch. "We are not a fund, we just bring investors together. We are targeting young investors and from 150 investors already on board we are looking to increase this number to thousands soon," said Abhijeet Kumar, founding partner, ah! Ventures.
