Hungama.com, a digital entertainment store offering full length music tracks, videos, ringtones, mobile wallpapers and more, available in both HD and SD formats, has launched  its on demand Bollywood movies service, Hungama Movies, in the UAE and the Middle East. In addition to these countries, the company also plan to enter Singapore market in three weeks.

It will be officially launched in the Middle East at the Intel booth at the Gitex Technology Week 2012.

Speaking on the launch of Hungama Movies in UAE, Siddhartha Roy, COO, consumer business & allied services, Hungama said, "There is a very large South Asian community in UAE and the Middle East, who demands a quality service that caters to their need to consume Bollywood and Indian content, and with Hungama.com we hope to satiate this need  for both Music and Movies".

Hungama Movies claims to offer a catalogue of over 5,000 Bollywood and Indian regional cinema to the NRI and South Asian community in UAE and the rest of the Middle East. The movies-on-demand storefront will offer premium HD & SD movie watching experience for a monthly subscription starting at AED 6.99.

Ever since its launch in India, Hungama Movies claims to have a subscriber base of more than 50,000 paid users, which is projected to grow three times in the next 12 months.

Hungama has also launched its new version on HTML5 recently. The upgrade to the new version enables users to listen and stream on all iOS platforms (iPhone, iPad and iPod), and also on android and Windows 8. Subscribers can also download content on android and Windows 8 platforms. The service already exists for BlackBerry and Symbian interfaces.
