Go Daddy India website now supports 120,000 customers; Launches customer care facility in Hyderabad

Web hosting platform Go Daddy which recently forayed in the Indian market, now supports more than 120,000 customers, according to the company.

It has also started its customer care facility in Hyderabad. A team of 40 local agents, who speak local languages, are now providing Go Daddy's customer service to Indian customers.

Go Daddy India's Managing Director Rajiv Sodhi, with 14 years' experience in the technology sector, is driving the company;s expansion plans by primarily helping small businesses develop their online presence. The localized website features India specific content.

Recently Go Daddy also introduced payment options for customers in INR through Net Banking, various cash cards and mobile devices, in addition to credit cards and debit cards.

It was only a couple of months back, the company, opened an office in New Delhi and also appointed Rajiv Sodhi as its Indian managing director. Sodhi will be responsible for overseeing the company's expansion into the Indian market.

Sodi said, "We are helping SMEs leverage the internet to grow their businesses, providing simple products at competitive prices and supporting them customer service based here in India. Basically we are bringing them on the internet, helping SMEs implement their business ideas and then help them grow and expand."

This year the company will focus on building its team. Other than this, it intends to do India-specific marketing campaigns investing heavily on print, TV and online.

According to the company statistics, comparing July last year to July this year, new Go Daddy India customers have nearly doubled, growing by 91 percent. Since January and through the first seven months of the year, data shows Go Daddy's Indian customer base grew by a robust 52 percent.

Go Dadday now claims to have more than 10.4 million customers worldwide and it has more than 53 million domain names under its management.
