Gurgaon-based Accentium Web Pvt Ltd has disclosed that it acquired SitaGita.com Ltd, which runs a women-centric content and community portal SitaGita, and has launched a revamped website with forum, blogs and a user profile section. The deal was completed in April but it has been just announced, along with a site relaunch.

Accentium also runs Taaza.com (a multi-vertical portal featuring news, jobs, education, movies, shopping, photos, classifieds, travel, finance and games), AdLift (a digital marketing solutions provider), SecondShaadi.com (a matrimonial site for second marriages), StudyNation (an education site with information on colleges, courses, universities and exams, both in India and around the world) and iShopper.com (a comparison site for specifications and pricing across various e-commerce sites).

Commenting on the acquisition, Vivek Pahwa, director of Accentium, said in a statement, "There is a strong demand for women audience advertising inventory online in India and this is why we chose to acquire the site. The site currently gets 800,000 unique visitors per month and this will add to the overall user reach for Accentium.

"We also expect the page views of the site to triple, post the launch of the new version. There are lots of media synergies with our other sites, Taaza.com, iShopper.com and StudyNation.com," he added.

Earlier this year, Accentium had integrated StudyNation.com into Taaza.com as study.taaza.com, in line with the company's strategy to make Taaza.com a multi-vertical digital media property in the country.
