Vuclip Ropes In Meera Chopra As Veep, Advertising Sales For India

Mobile video service firm Vuclip today announced the appointment of Meera Chopra as vice president, Advertising Sales for Vuclip in India. Meera's core responsibility as VP will be to build new partnerships with brands and advertising agencies, as well as strengthening existing relationships.

Prior to joining Vuclip, Chopra was the national sales head with Times Internet Ltd, where she launched Times Audience Network and played a pivotal role in establishing IPL.indiatimes.com. She has over a decade of experience in business development and corporate sales having worked with leading media houses such as Networkplay and Komli Media.

"With mobile advertising taking off in a big way and Vuclip being one of the top 5 mobile internet portals in India, I believe this is the right time to build a team that extends mobile video as a value proposition to the advertising community in India," said Chopra.

Headquartered in Milpitas, California, Vuclip provides video on-the-fly, on any device, and in any country. According to the company, it delivers more than 16 million videos to consumers in over 200 countries every day.  The company also has offices in Los Angeles, Singapore, Shenzhen, Beijing and Mumbai in India.

The company had earlier also set-up Starlight Cinema, a site where you can watch trailers, movie clips, short feature films, song reviews etc in various Indian languages. For the same, the company entered into content partnerships with UTV Motion Pictures, Reliance Entertainment, Vega, Whacked Out Media and MAA TV.
