Sony Ericsson yesterday announced Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman, an Android smartphone that delivers a social music experience. A dedicated Walkman hardware button provides instant access to the music player and consumers can also like, share and discover content through a deep Facebook integration (similar to the one in Facebook inside Xperia feature).

The mobile phone has a 3.2 inch mineral glass display and a 1GHz processor. It runs on the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system. It has a 5MP auto focus rear camera that can record high definition (720p) videos and a front facing camera for video calling and the mobile phone has Sony's xLOUD and Sony's Qriocity media service pre installed in it.

Some of its features include:

Qriocity music and video content services from Sony- Consumers can access songs and watch movies. Sony Ericsson Android smartphones will provide consumers with access to entertainment services from Sony.

Sony's xLOUD technology- According to the company it enhances the audio output of the inbuilt speakers at high levels.

TrackID- It Identifies the music track users are listening to within the FM radio and music player. The track can then instantly be shared or downloaded.

Nikolaus Scheurer, Head of Product Marketing, Sony Ericsson said, "Rather than a one dimensional music experience, customers want instant and seamless access to new content, combined with the ability to share and connect with their friends. The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman provides exactly this, in a powerful package with great style."
