Times Internet's Active Deals Now In 25 Cities

Times Internet Ltd has extended its mobile deals and discounts service Active Deals to 25 Indian cities. Initially launched in 2009 and available only in major cities, the service is now being offered to mobile Internet users in smaller towns and cities.

Active Deals is a service by Indiatimes 58888, the mobile arm of Times Internet. Deals on wine & dine (hotels/restaurants), fast food, health & beauty, entertainment, home needs, electronics, apparels and accessories are offered on mobile. Indiatimes has also added a new category - best book deals.

Previously the cities covered included Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, Ghaziabad and Pune. The list now includes Amritsar, Bijnor, Ambala, Bulandshahr, Guntur and others, according to Medianama.com.

The company has also added four regional languages – Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Kannada – to the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) menu, according to AlooTechie.

To receive deals, users can visit Activedeals.mobi on their handsets and click on 'More Hot Deals' for a complete list of the deals on offer. They can receive SMS coupons by clicking on 'Get Coupon'. The SMS received will contain details of the deal and outlet that is nearest to your location. The m-coupons can also be shared amongst friends by forwarding them.
