Canaan Partners Ropes In Clearstone's Rahul Khanna As India MD

Canaan Partners, a multi-billion dollar global venture capital firm, has announced the appointment of Rahul Khanna as a Managing Director of Canaan India.

Prior to joining Canaan India, Khanna was Founding Director of Mumbai-based Clearstone Venture Advisors. Khanna will lead new investments in early-stage, India-based technology companies in the consumer internet, mobile, software, and managed services industries.

Canaan's portfolio in India includes car auction portal Motorexchange; matrimonial site Bharat Matrimony; Cellcast, a provider of interactive TV and mobile content in the digital entertainment sector; Chakpak Media, a movie portal; e4e, which provides BPO services; Equitas Microfinance India ; iYogi Holdings Pvt Ltd, which provides tech support via phone and remote access for home and small business users globally; mCarbon, a mobile VAS (Value Added Service) company and Naaptol.
