Cybersecurity firm Paladion hires ex-Infosys exec Sunil Gupta as COO

Paladion Networks Pvt. Ltd, a Bengaluru-based cybersecurity firm, has appointed former Infosys Ltd executive Sunil Gupta as president and chief operating officer.

Gupta will be responsible for business strategies in the Middle East and India and will direct all business units and delivery, Paladion said in a statement.

Before Paladion, Gupta was COO at EdgeVerve Systems Ltd, a wholly owned unit of Infosys carved out as a separate entity in May 2014. He worked at the parent company before moving to the products and platform business unit.

Gupta has also previously worked at Aricent as vice president of engineering, at Symphony Teleca as CTO and at Logica India as COO.

"Sunil brings a wealth of experience in building great organizations that deliver platform-based services. He has a deep understanding of the dynamics that are playing out in enterprises as IT is transitioning to be more agile, secure and responsive," said Rajat Mohanty, Paladion's CEO and co-founder.

Paladion had, in June 2014, raised $10 million (just over Rs 60 crore then) in funding from Nadathur Holdings, an investment firm of Infosys co-founder NS Raghavan.

The company provides information risk management services including security assurance, compliance, governance, monitoring, security analytics and security management services to large and medium-sized organisations.

Paladion competes with the likes of Aujas Networks Pvt Ltd, which is backed by IDG Ventures India, IvyCap Ventures and Rajasthan Venture Capital Fund.
