Anand Chandrasekaran had joined Snapdeal as chief product officer in June 2015, after returning to India in 2014 to join Bharti Airtel as chief product officer. He had spent three years with Yahoo in California. Prior to Yahoo, he was director of product at US-based software solutions firm Openwave. He had earlier co-founded Aeroprise, said to be the world’s most widely deployed mobility solution for IT service management. While at Snapdeal, Chandrasekaran started backing several startups, including gaming app Gamezop, online marketplace RentOnGo, hyperlocal healthcare products delivery startup Pluss, freight platform FreightTiger and HD-live streaming platform Instalively, among others. Chandrasekaran now plans to turn entrepreneur himself.
