Techcircle.in is delighted to announce the names of five startups that have been chosen for the Showcase session at the Bengaluru edition of Techcircle Startup 2016, India’s flagship conference on the startup ecosystem. The conference will be held on April 28 at the Park Plaza hotel, and will feature informative panel discussions and attractive platforms for investors and entrepreneurs to connect with each other.
Techcircle Showcase promises to be an exciting session that will bring out innovative ideas and business propositions of early-stage, pre-revenue startups. The session will feature an elevator pitch by the selected startups to an expert jury, angel and VC investors as well as fellow entrepreneurs. The jury includes Bharati Jacob, founder-partner of Seedfund; Suresh Shanmugham, managing partner at Saama Capital; and Siddhartha Das, general partner at Ventureast.
Here are the five selected startups:
Urbtranz Technologies Pvt. Ltd: Urbtranz Technologies Pvt. Ltd’s product, Driven, tracks and trains commercial drivers through the use of smartphone sensors that measure driving habits. The product enables fleet operators to monitor drivers’ scores and personalise their training programmes, leading to greater savings and increased safety. The technology behind this is Big Data-based machine learning systems that improve with time and network effects.
Onebiplus: It is a platform used for automation, collection, distribution and verification of know-your-customer documents for service providers in the banking, non-banking finance, insurance, telecom, education, healthcare and hospitality verticals. The platform allows consumers to upload their documents onto a highly secured cloud, through a web console and mobile apps, attest the documents and instantly share those with service providers online.
Apption Digital Technologies Pvt. Ltd: There is a constant stream of information in today’s digitally connected world. Often, that information is biased or misrepresented. Apption, through its product MyVote.Today, provides a platform for users to voice their concerns and opinions anonymously and take part in an online poll. It provides information on the poll in the form of bullet points, helping users to make an informed decision.
AAGNAA Software Labs Pvt. Ltd: The startup’s MagicMe product allows buyers to virtually try out clothes they want to purchase in a retail store. The concept is based on patented technology and can also be extended to other areas such as jewellery and shoes. It helps fashion designers by helping them know in advance how ramp models will look in various attires. The product also allows photo sharing of virtually wrapped dresses with friends. The startup is developing many other products in the Internet of Things segment.
Zwayam Digital: Zwayam is a recruitment engine for small and medium businesses that helps them compete for talent with larger companies. It widens job visibility, including through social networks, and the reach of companies looking for candidates to hire. It comes with a complete recruitment workflow and also provides profile recommendations on who makes the cut.
