Bharati has about 27 years of experience in venture investing, marketing and financial services. She began her investing career with Infinity Venture Fund in 2000. She also worked with the investment bank Lazard and established its offices in Chennai and Bangalore. Her background in research and deep insights on the Indian market help companies think from a consumer’s perspective in defining product and marketing strategies. Bharati holds postgraduate degrees from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, US, and from XLRI Jamshedpur, and graduated from the University of Delhi.
Shanmugham has invested in a number of technology companies over the years, including Odyssey Logistics & Technology Corporation, Tropos Networks, Yantra Corporation/Sterling Commerce. He also represents Saama Capital on the boards of several companies including AgreeYa Mobility, Naaptol, Iyogi, Ideacts Innovations, Geodesic Techniques and Bluestone. Before Saama, he was managing director at SICP and senior vice president at SVB Global. Prior to joining SVB, he was a founding partner at early-stage venture capital firm Boston Millennia Partners.
Das has been with Ventureast since January 2006. With about 19 years of experience in IT and in venture investment into IT, he oversees technology investments of the Proactive Fund. He is a former researcher with the R&D and product development teams at Intel Corporation where he managed groups which developed cutting-edge technologies for microprocessors. His long stint at Intel Corporation and its investment arm Intel Capital has seen him working on some of the most successful venture investments in the telecom, consumer Internet and software technology sectors. He has been involved in more than 40 investments in India, the US and Europe during his career.
