Mumbai-based Timemytask Services Pvt Ltd, which runs an on-demand home cleaning services platform under the same brand name, has raised an undisclosed amount in a round of funding from angel investor network Lead Angels.
The startup will use the funding to expand to more suburbs of Mumbai and launch the technology applications for both customers and cleaners, a statement from Timemytask said.
Timemytask was founded in 2014 by IIT-Bombay alumni Saurav Suman and Mohit Verma.
"At Timemytask our vision is to improve the quality of living and life with technology and human value. Our business idea supports this vision by offering reliable and affordable services for homes, including functional and well-designed range of cleaning services," said Suman.
The firm claims to have served 5000 customers and completed more than 25,000 hours of cleaning sessions. It has two hubs in Mumbai.
The company follows a hybrid model where experts are full time employees while taskers or cleaners are engaged based on demand. It claims to have developed a quick and efficient training module which can convert anyone into a professional cleaner in one week.
Other companies which have raised funding in the same segment include UrbanClap (from Accel Partners and SAIF Partners), LocalOye (from Tiger Global and Lightspeed), Qyk (from Zishaan Hayath, co-founder, Toppr.com; Abhishek Goyal, co-founder, Tracxn.com; and Delhivery co-founder Sahil Barua), Near.in (led by Anupam Mittal, CEO of People Group and Manish Vij of Smile Vun Group), FindYahan (led by Karan Bajwa, managing director of Microsoft India), TaskBob (from Orios Venture Partners & Mayfield India) and UrbanPro.com (Nirvana Venture). These also compete with Just Dial, the top player in the local services search market.

Home services startup HELPI, run by Handy Online Solutions Pvt Ltd, had recently raised an undisclosed amount of angel investment from a group of IIT alumni and investment bankers based in the US.
