Crowdfunding platform BitGiving has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Wazir Advisors founder and managing director Harminder Sahni, Capillary Technologies co-founder Krishna Mehra, Impulse Marketing’s co-founder Sanjay Bakshi among others.

The funds will be used for ramping up the team, product development and marketing.

The Delhi-based startup, run by HuddleTech Services Pvt Ltd, helps individuals and organisations raise funds for entrepreneurial, creative and social projects. Its campaigns have been backed by industry leaders such as Anand Mahindra and celebrities such as Soha Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, and Gul Panag.

The startup was co-founded by Delhi University alumni Ishita Anand and Fahad Moti Khan in 2013. While Anand is a former film maker, Khan is a serial entrepreneur who has founded Zilzar, BitGifting, Khana and Technology 9 Labs.
