Delhi-based Unicommerce eSolutions Pvt Ltd, which operates multi-channel order fulfillment software Uniware, will make a 'Lite' version of its platform freely available for sellers.

'Uniware Lite' allows sellers to sell on all major marketplaces while managing inventory from one place, the company said in a statement.

"Large numbers of sellers have entered the market and a lot of them have small order volumes. For them spending on software for their business is costly. Another barrier is the misconception that 'software' or 'technology' is only for the biggies. We want to dispel this mis-belief and make the best technology available for all," said Ankit Pruthi, co-founder and CEO of Unicommerce.

The 'Lite' version helps sellers to manage and automate their back-end operations. It offers features like automatic order sync, inventory sync and the ability to process orders in bulk to sellers across the country, the statement said.

Unicommerce claims that it has over 2,000 sellers globally. Its technology is currently used by e-commerce companies like Snapdeal, Myntra, Jabong, and Lenskart.

In addition to e-commerce companies, Unicommerce also caters to retail businesses and traders by providing technology to track orders on real-time basis.

Unicommerce was founded in 2011 by three IIT Delhi alumni, Ankit Pruthi, Karun Singla and Vibhu Garg.

Snapdeal co-founders Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal have invested in the company besides VC firm Nexus Venture Partners. Unicommerce is said to have raised $10 million from Tiger Global last year.
