Motorola launches Moto X (2nd Gen) 32GB variant for Rs 32,999 in India, reduces price of 16GB model

Moto XAfter unveiling the same in September this year, Motorola has now launched the 32GB variant of its Moto X (2nd Gen) smartphone in the Indian market. The device sports a 5.2 inch display and is powered by a quad-core processor. It features a bigger display, a curved metal frame, and runs on the latest, unadulterated version of Android.

Moto X (2nd Gen) has been priced at Rs 32,999 and will be available for purchase exclusively on home grown e-commerce marketplace

The 16GB model of the smartphone- launched a couple of months back- has received a price cut from Motorola. While it was launched for Rs 31,999, the smartphone is now available for Rs 29,999 (that is Rs 2,000 cheaper). In addition, the prices of its black leather and bamboo white variants have also been slashed and they are now available for Rs 31,999 (was launched at Rs 33,999).

The company is also running an exchange offer with the smartphone, as part of which you can get your hands on the Moto X (2nd Gen) 16GB model for as low as Rs 23,999 (Rs 25,999 for the black leather and bamboo white variants). The maximum price cut available is Rs 6,000 depending on the model you are exchanging the smartphone with.

The smartphone sports a 5.2 inch full HD AMOLED touchscreen display (1920×1080 pixels resolution) and runs on the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system (out of the box). It is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core MSM8974-AC Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and has 2 GB RAM. Users can choose between 16 and 32GB of non-expandable internal memory.

The new Moto X has a 13 mega pixel autofocus rear camera with dual LED rind Flash that supports 4K Ultra HD video recording as well as full high definition video recording (1080p) at 30 frames per second. In addition, it has a 2 MP front-facing camera that can also record full HD videos. On the connectivity front, the device has Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G (depending on the region), and a micro USB port.

The smartphone has a 2,300 mAh battery and comes with GPS (with A-GPS support). The dimensions of the device are 140.8mm x 72.4mm x 9.97mm and its weight is 144 gm. A simple wave of your hand silences calls or snoozes alarms, and even when the smartphone is asleep, it displays notifications and updates. It is available in black and royal blue colours.
