Acer has further expanded its range of smartphones in the country with the launch of two new devices. Part of the company's Liquid-series, the smartphones were first unveiled at the Computex 2014 event in June this year. Both of them run on the Android operating system and sport 5-inch displays. They also come with 'Zero Air Gap' technology, which according to the company reduces light reflection, bringing higher contrast and delivering brighter, crisper images, as well as better readability under sunlight.

Christened Liquid Jade and Liquid E700, the devices have been priced at Rs 16,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively. In the country, the smartphones will be available for purchase exclusively on home grown e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal.com.

"While Liquid Jade appeals to the elegant, beauty conscious and highly social user, Liquid E700 is more suited to the upbeat business traveller who demands to remain connected round the clock. Its 'always on' capability helps users to multi-task between work and entertainment," said Allen Burnes, VP- smartphones business, Acer Group.
