Automated content conversion solution Khemeia wins IBM SmartCamp 2014

Stelae-TechnologiesChennai-based Stelae Technologies, the company behind Khemeia, an automated conversion solution for multiple categories of content, has won the IBM SmartCamp India 2014. Held in Bangalore, the SmartCamp is part of IBM's Global Entrepreneur Program and is aimed at identifying innovative startups in the B2B space in India.

Drona Mobile, which works to harness the power of mobile in all functions of a business, was adjudged the runner-up. Both Stelae and Drona Mobile will now participate in the IBM SmartCamp Regional Finals with winners of other programme in the Asia-Pacific region.

As many as 30 startups were shortlisted from over 250 entries across the country, and they were provided with an opportunity to pitch to and interact with local venture capitalists, serial entrepreneurs, and business & technology experts. The programme is focused on discovering early-stage entrepreneurs working in areas of Big Data & analytics, cloud, mobile, and social.

Stelae was set up by Chandu Nair, founder and former CEO of Scope Knowledge Services (acquired by Quatrro), and Revathy Ashok, former MD of Tishman Speyer India and a member of Indian Angel Network. It provides an automated conversion solution for multiple categories of content. The company's product Khemeia is a cloud-based technology solution which transforms unstructured information into structured content that is ready for indexing.

Drona, a product of Mumbai-based Deltecs Info Tech, was launched by Divyesh Kharade and Jinen Dedhia. It enables enterprises to create apps for their employees, distributors, share holders, franchisees, customers etc. in a short time, with no coding required. According to the firm, with its Do-It-Yourself (DIY) platform, enterprises can focus on solving their business problems by going mobile while the platform takes care of every other hassle.
