Serial entrepreneur and founder of Way2SMS, Raju Vanapala has launched an instructor-led online learning platform called LearnSocial. The new platform offers live online courses on topics including technology, languages, business management, and robotics, etc., the company said in a statement.
The company identifies industry relevant courses for college freshers, mid-career professionals and senior professionals, and is currently offering 16 courses, including a course on removing mother tongue's influence on your accent available for Rs 3,500, to a Big Data and Hadoop development and ethical hacking course that is priced at Rs 19,899. According to the company, the courses can be availed at an internet connectivity of less than 1 MBPS speed.
"LearnSocial is determined to build a large and active social learning community from across the globe, where learners are provided with an opportunity to network, rather than breeze through a few week-long courses," said Vanapala, founder and CEO, LearnSocial.
"Unlike others, our instructors are not traditional professors. They are hand-picked, highly experienced and passionate people working with large corporate firms across sectors," he added.
With a team size of 50, the company has also partnered with over 200 experienced industry experts to teach on the platform. Going forward, it plans to add about 10 new courses to the platform on a monthly basis.
