FarEye-logoDelhi-based RoboticWares Pvt Ltd, which operates under the brand FarEye, a job scheduling & tracking app for mobile workforce, has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from Indian Angel Network (IAN). As part of the deal, IAN members Nitin Jain and Piyush Chawla will join the board of the firm.

"We will use the investment primarily to grow our sales and acquire clients, in addition to product development. We also plan to improve our technology to be able to operate on a bigger scale," said Kushal Nahata, co-founder of Fareye.

The startup was founded in 2013 by Nahata, Gaurav Srivastava and Gautam Kumar. Its flagship product Fareye helps logistics managers in real-time co-ordination of mobile workers, field jobs and customer requests. The firm claims the solution also provides quick overview of field force with job status & tool to schedule, dispatch & monitor jobs to the workforce.

FarEyeThis is IAN's second investment in the workforce management software startup. Earlier, it invested an undisclosed amount in London-based workforce management tool SwiftShift, which has invented a software solution that allows companies to quickly fill short notice shifts using their own staff through SMS, email, and push notifications.

"In the last few years, we have seen several companies going remote. Remote workforce management is not only cost effective, but it also creates a competitive advantage for companies as efficiency improvements are realized. However, for effective operations companies require the right technology to support a remote infrastructure," said Jain.

Other players operating in the workforce management vertical include FieldEZ Technologies and Swaas. FieldEZ recently secured an undisclosed amount in its Series A funding from IDG Ventures and IvyCap Ventures. Swaas is operating in the pharma space and recently raised Rs 4.5 crore in seed funding from Fulcrum India Ventures.
