facebookFacebook will make its 'Privacy Checkup' feature available to all of its 1.2 billion users globally to help them review and control who they share the information with on the world's largest social networking website.

In May, Facebook had announced the privacy tool to reassure its users that they can control what they share and with whom on Facebook as part of its ongoing efforts.

"Earlier this year, we announced a new Privacy Checkup that walks you through a few quick steps to help make sure only the people you want can see your stuff. Today, we're making it available around the world for people using Facebook on desktop," it said in a statement.

The tool walks users through their privacy settings on Facebook to help them ensure they know with whom they are sharing information.

"We know people come to Facebook to connect with their friends, not with us. But we know how important it is for everyone to be in control of what they share and who they share it with... It's part of an ongoing effort to put more control in people's hands, at the moment they need it," Facebook Product Manager Paddy Underwood said.

Using the tool, users can easily change the audience for their posts, contact information, remove old apps or update information in their profile.
