Vaibhav Aggarwal, one of the three co-founders of home furnishing and furniture e-tailer FabFurnish.com has quit the company, sources close to the development informed Techcircle.in. FabFurnish, run by Gurgaon-based Xerion Retail Pvt Ltd, was started by Aggarwal, Vikram Chopra and Mehul Agrawal in March 2012.
Prior to this venture, Aggarwal was a vice president at Groupon India, where he was part of the management team that launched the company's India operations. He had also earlier worked as a consultant at Bain & Company, and was involved in strategy consulting/PE due diligence in India and SE Asia. An IIT alumnus, he also holds a MBA degree from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
A Rocket Internet-backed venture, FabFurnish offers over 25,000 SKUs in various categories such as home furnishings, furniture & fittings, bed & bath products, home dÃ©cor items, lighting, kitchenware, dinnerware and more. The company offers branded products as well as private label products, and follows an inventory-cum-marketplace model.
A hybrid venture (online + offline), the company also has four brick-and-mortar franchise stores in Bangalore, Faridabad and Gurgaon. The market for home assortment and furnishing is estimated at Rs 44,000 crore. In the online space, FabFurnish competes with players like Pepperfry, Urban Ladder and Zansar.
