e-market for beauty products may touch $2B by 2020: FSN E-Commerce's Falguni Nayar

After spending almost 20 years in investment banking, Falguni Nayar decided to take the entrepreneurial plunge. Nayar quit her high profile job as MD of Kotak Investment Bank and founded FSN E-Commerce Ventures Pvt Ltd, the promoter of Nykaa, an online beauty and wellness store, in 2013.

As of now, Nykaa offers more than 10,000 SKUs of curated and branded products from over 200 brands. The portal runs on an inventory-based model and has a warehouse in Mumbai. It has also established strong partnerships with courier companies to offer shipping across more than 900 cities and 9,000 zip codes.

A bootstrapped venture to date, the company plans to go hybrid this year. In an exclusive chat with Techcircle.in, Falguni talks about her journey, and expansion plans of Nykaa.
