Reliance Communications has announced two EMI offers, under which it will provide Apple’s recently launched iPhone 5s and 5c at zero down payment. As part of the scheme, customers will need to pay Rs 2,599 and Rs 2,999 per month for two years (or 24 months) for the iPhone 5c and 5s respectively. Apart from including the handset cost, the scheme will also offer Relaince customers with unlimited local and STD calls, SMS, national roaming and 3G mobile data.
Under the offer, iPhone 5c and 5s customers will not receive any usage bill for the duration of two years, since the monthly payments include all usage charges. Only international calls and international roaming charges will have to be paid for. The zero down-payment offers are available on the 16GB models of iPhone 5c and 5s. Customers can also avail a similar offer on the 32GB and 64GB models, but after a one-time upfront payment (check table below).
Additionally, the company has launched special facilities for corporate users of Apple products who would like to migrate to the Reliance network through MNP, with their requests being fast-processed. A special dedicated helpline has also been created for Apple customers for assistance and inquiries. The new offer is part of the company’s efforts to bring more smartphone customers to its built-for-video 3G network, which it believes will increase the acquisition of high-value post-paid customers to its customer base.
