“The launch of MobStac’s API will give the opportunity for developers and web development companies to create applications on top of our tried and tested MobStac platform. The API platform will initially be available to developers on an invite-only basis,” said Sharat Potharaju, cofounder and CEO, Mobstac.
The developer will have complete control over mobile websites and apps. The platform allows developers to create a device-specific experience for every mobile and tablet device. It is loaded with SDKs (software development kits) for developing and delivering apps for all platforms, including iOS, Android and Windows.
MobStac, which raised an undisclosed funding from Accel Partners and Mumbai Angels in November 2011, claims it is currently serving more than 2,000 customers in more than 40 countries in 12 different languages. In September last year, search engine giant Google had announced a partnership with Mobstac to drive adoption of mobile platform among media and publishing firms.
