Reliance Entertainment Digital, part of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, which has gaming brands Jump Games Pvt Ltd and Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd under its portfolio, will consolidate its gaming business under the brand name ‘Zapak’. As part of the initiative, Jump Games, a developer and publisher of mobile games, apps and content, will be re-branded and re-christened as Zapak Mobile Games Pvt Ltd.
The company aims to leverage synergies between each of the gaming verticals and create a unified brand entity for its gaming operations. The integrated brand ‘Zapak’ will now reach out to over 20 million gamers across the globe who would be able to access about 2,000 games on the mobile and web, according to the company.
Post the restructuring, Zapak Digital Entertainment will operate three business verticals that will include Zapak Solutions, Zapak Online and WAP Portal and Zapak Mobile.
Zapak Solutions: Will specialize in providing advergaming and gamification solutions to brands across mobile and online platforms.
Zapak Mobile: Will continue to develop and publish games across platforms for its Indian and global audiences.
Manish Agarwal, CEO, Reliance Entertainment Digital, said, “This move is aimed at exploiting the huge gaming potential on mobile as well as leveraging the Zapak brand name, which is synonymous with gaming.”
Zapak Digital Entertainment will continue operations from its headquarters in Mumbai, with offices located in Pune, Chicago and Los Angeles. Zapak Mobile’s content will be accessible on 80 networks across 40 countries as well as global app Stores.
