Digital advertising and video monetisation platform Vdopia Inc. has appointed Shivam Srivastava as director, business development, for APAC operations. Prior to this appointment, Srivastava was AVP at Zenith Optimedia and earlier worked with brands like The Times of India and Sify.

Commenting on the appointment, Preetesh Chouhan, VP & sales head (APAC) at Vdopia, said, "Vdopia has established itself as the fastest-growing company in video advertising, and now it is time to broaden our horizon and target emerging markets in South-east Asia and MENA. We are confident that Srivastava will help us take this vision forward and add value to advertising in these areas."

"Video is going to create its own ecosystem in the digital space, whereas mobile will hit the tipping point because of its sheer numbers and targeting capabilities. The year 2013 is the year of the mobile and I am very excited to be a part of both these ecosystems. Also, coming from an agency background, I am well aware of the agency and clients' objectives, and will try and align our products portfolio with that of the client's requirement," said Srivastava on his new role.
