Right Angle Web India Pvt Ltd, a Mumbai-based startup, has launched Timesaverz.com, a site focused on catering to the household needs of the time-starved metroâ€“dwellers. The site offers a number of products and services ranging from online purchase of groceries to annual maintenance of homes.
Debadutta Upadhyaya, co-founder and CEO, Timesaverz.com, "The vision behind Timesaverz is to offer a helping hand for every job that an average homemaker can outsource to enjoy multiple benefits."
The company was founded by Debadutta and Lovnish Bhatia in July 2012. Before setting off on an entrepreneurial journey, Debadutta was leading Vdopia, a leading video ad network's APAC business. Prior to that, she was heading sales function for Yahoo India. Bhatia on the other hand has held leadership positions in companies like Vdopia, Aptech, Sony Entertainment Television, NDTV Media and Viacom 18, prior to Timesaverz. The team size of the company is seven as of now.
According to the company, average working professionals work for around 12 hours every weekday, leaving only the weekend for attending to all their domestic chores. This becomes a pain since between coordinating with various service providers (for household maintenance activities), picking up groceries, paying bills, etc., they end up with no time for themselves, family or friends.
This is the pain point the company has targeted with the site. The site went live early this month and using it visitors can purchase household essentials like groceries, drinks and beverages, household and cleaning material, personal care products as well as stationary, among others, and get them home-delivered at a time chosen by them.
Note that the site requires a minimum order of Rs 1,000 and consumers will be charged a nominal convenience charges for the delivery of the products.
Alternatively, users can also opt for either long term tie-ups (like annual maintenance) or short time (on-request) services for household work like paying utility bills (electricity, mobile, insurance premium, etc.), gadget installations (home theatre, TVs, etc.), computer related services (software/hardware installation and upgrade), plumbing, etc. The site also offers an all-in-one Timesaverz Maintenance Contract (TMC) for catering to all the home service needs.
As of now, the company is only providing its services in Mumbai, but expansion into other metros is also on the cards. According to Debadutta, the traction on the site is around 100 as of now, but that is understandable considering it's still early days. For providing the services, the company has tie-ups with a number of certified agents across the city while for deliveries of goods and products, it is dependent on a local courier service. The company is bootstrapped as of now and wants to first build some proof of concept before looking for funding.
