Mumbai-based digital media technology platform Komli Media has entered into a strategic partnership with social gaming company Zynga Inc that gives Komli exclusive rights to sell web display ad and video inventories on all games across the Zynga platform in APAC region.

The APAC region consists of Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

According to Prashant Mehta, CEO Komli Media, "Zynga is the brand name that comes to your mind when you think of social gaming. With millions of monthly active users playing games with Zynga, a whole new category has been created. Zynga and Komli will now allow brands all over Asia to connect and engage with their community in a unique manner."

"Komli Media has a strong sales presence across Asia Pacific, and is known for their solid relationships with marketing influencers," said Adam Sussman, head of sales and distribution, Zynga.

Komli Media raised $39 million funding round which was led by Norwest Venture Partners, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners, Helion Venture Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Western Technology Investment in June. This was the fourth round of funding for the company. Post funding, it had also gone through a rebranding exercise wherein it changed its brand logo and announced logos for each of its offerings.

Although the company operates in several global markets like Australia, South-east Asia, the Middle East, North America and the UK, India is the most important market for the company, as told to Techcircle by Prashant Mehta, CEO of Komli Media. As far as the company's India business is concerned, Komli ROI, a solution for publishers to maximise the value of their unsold inventory, generates the maximum amount of business, while Komli Mobile is the fastest growing unit.
