DigiVive, ESPN in pact to live stream ICC World Twenty20

Mobile VAS company Digivive has inked a deal with sports broadcaster ESPN Star Sports to broadcast ICC World Twenty20 series, which started on September 18, on its mobile TV service nexGTV. Along with live streaming rights, DigiVive has also secured rights for video streaming of the broadcaster's highlights programmes. The service can be downloaded by sending an SMS mytv to 58888, or from any of the app store and from nexGTv website www.nexgtv.com.

nexGTV is mobile TV platform available as an app across platforms and as operator-based service. It was launched in March this year and claims to offer all channels ranging from national to regional, entertainment, movies, news and more. Some of its features include replay TV and adaptive streaming, which enables users to have seamless experience even on 2G.

Sanjay Kailash, executive VP, ESPN Software India Pvt Ltd, said, "Mobile VAS has huge potential for growth. The ICC World Twenty20 provides an excellent opportunity to reach out to ever increasing group of consumers, who use new-age devices to catch real time action from the championship."
