Digital advertising and video monetisation company Vdopia Inc. has appointed Preetesh Chouhan as its VP and sales head for the Asia-Pacific region. In his new position, he will play a key role in expanding the company's operations across South-east Asia through organic and inorganic sales strategies. Prior to joining Vdopia, Chouhan was working with Sify Technologies as national head for ad sales.

Commenting on the new hire, Vdopia co-founder and business head Srikant Kalkani said, "We are glad to have Chouhan on board. Vdopia foresees immense growth of its ad network across the APAC market as he joins us. With the digital advertising space growing fast, the company aims to deliver best-in-industry products. Our team of experts can streamline the digital video advertising strategies for our customers and help them capitalise on the growth."

Talking about his role, Chouhan said, "I have always been a firm believer of video as a platform for both content consumption and the monetisation side of the business. In the entire 'digital advertising' ecosystem, mobile video advertising is still at a very nascent stage. But with the growing penetration of mobile devices and data usage, the growth opportunities are now immense. We are looking to hit the market with key strategic and niche products, and create a long and profitable value chain for ourselves."

Backed by Nexus Venture Partners, it competes with players like Komli Media, Ozone Media, Tyroo and more, and announced last March that its mobile video advertising business had become profitable.
