Noida-based mobile solutions company, ACL Mobile, has launched a new service Naukri Bazaar, a human-assisted mobile job recruitment platform. The service is an initiative to accelerate the growth in opportunities for employees and eliminate the challenges of employers.

Sanjay Goyal, Founder and CEO, ACL Mobile said, "Naukri Bazaar will be a boon for the Indian market to find skilled resources and empower employees with an easy access to the job exchange directly on mobile. It is a one-of-its-kind service in India, which demonstrates an exciting and unique experience for masses at the bottom of the pyramid directly on their mobile devices."

Users at Naukri Bazaar platform can connect with human-assisted call center at  1860-180-6767  to create and register their profiles using their mobile. The employers can also avail the interactive voice and web medium to search for prospective candidates.

Naukri Bazaar  would have to compete with a host of established job listing sites like Naukri, Monster, IIMjobs and Timesjobs.

Apollo Sharma, vice president-consumer utilities, ACL Mobile, said, "Firstly our primary medium is mobile not web, unlike others and secondly we cater to a different set of people. Voice is the primary medium here and we are targeting the blue collar and grey collared jobs in approximately 8,000 SMEs and not white collared jobs in corporate."

Candidates can look for jobs from Naukri Bazaar free of cost, but it would follow a basic monetisation method for the recruiters, though at a lesser cost  than normal job classifieds.

"ACL Mobile brings together the significant interactive solution with Naukri Bazaar for hiring resources from all skill sectors and across multiple levels to deliver one-of-its-kind mobile experience for its users that simultaneously results in advanced and enriched value for them," Sharma said.

ACL Mobile's use of the name Naukri Bazaar might land it in trouble, if Info Edge (India), which runs Naukri.com, the countries' oldest job portal , takes offence.

Speaking to Techcircle.in, Hitesh Oberoi, MD and CEO of Info Edge (India), said, "We need to see if this hampers our business. That way, Naukri is a trademark name. Somebody using it might mean misguiding our consumers, which might impact our business. But before taking any step, I would definitely discuss the issue with my legal team," he said.

But Sharma has a different take on the issue. "Naukri is a very generic word. Moreover Info Edge's trademark is Naukri.com, which we are not using. So I do not think they will have issues with it. And our intention is not violating their trademark. We market ourselves differently," he said.
