Taking forward the growing popularity of Chrome browser, Google unveiled the same for Android Beta phones and Tablets. The new Chrome from Google will work on devices working on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The tech giant said that Chrome for Android has been designed from the ground-up for mobile devices. According to Google's official blog, it reimagined tabs so they fit just as naturally on a small-screen phone as they do on a larger screen Tablet.

"Like the desktop version, Chrome for Android Beta is focused on speed and simplicity, but it also features seamless sign-in and sync so you can take your personalised web browsing experience with you wherever you go, across devices," said Google's official blog post on the announcement.

With Google's new Chrome for Android you can

  • Scroll through web pages as quickly as you can flick your finger(or so they say). Also, while searching, the top search results are loaded in the background as you type so pages appear instantly.
  • Flip or swipe between an unlimited number of tabs using intuitive gestures.
  • Do away with the pain of finding the right link from multiples ones present on the small screen of your phone. One of its features, Link Preview, automatically zooms in on links to make selecting the precise one much simpler.
  • Pick the tabs left open in the Chrome browser from the same point they were left
  • Sync bookmarks.
Google's Chrome is currently available in Beta mode in selected countries (not yet in India) and languages for phones and tablets.
