OnMobile CFO Rajesh Moorti Quits

Rajesh Moorti, chief financial officer of Bangalore-headquartered VAS firm OnMobile Global Ltd has put in his papers after serving the company for over five years. This comes as yet another top management shuffle at the company after Arvind Rao stepped down as the chairman of the company.

While Rao continues as the CEO and managing director of the company, a non executive director of the company H H Haight took over as the new chairman early this month. Haight has been a non-executive director on the company's board since 2006. At the same time, OnMobile also appointed Harit Nagpal as an independent director.

The firm said it has already appointed a new CFO who will join next month.

Moorti has not disclosed his next moves whether he is joining some other established firm or starting his own venture as has been the trend in the Internet and mobile Internet industry.  He is yet to update his LinkedIn profile , so we will keep a watch on that.

Before joining OnMobile in early 2006, Moorti was head of finance at Sara Lee H&BC UK Limited and in the past also worked with FNCG giant Hindustan Unilever Ltd.

OnMobile is one of the top VAS companies with services for mobile, landline and media service providers including areas such as mobile entertainment, search & discovery, data services and mobile social networking. Over the past couple of years, OnMobile has increased its focus on international business and almost 50 per cent of its topline now comes from abroad.
