Samsung Launches Budget Phones With 3G

Samsung has further expanded its handsets range, but this time it's not with a power packed smartphone like the Galaxy SII. On the contrary, the company has announced the launch of three low cost mobile phones code named S3770, S5270 and S5610. All three mobile phones are 3G enabled and cost under Rs 7,000, according to Tech2.

Samsung Champ 3.5G (S3770)

It has a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen (240x320 pixels resolution) and comes with 30MB of internal memory that is expandable up to 16GB with the help of a microSD card. it has a 2 mega pixel rear camera that can record videos.

Additionally, Samsung has included its SoundAlive feature in the mobile phone that the company claims will enhance the music experience of the user. The device has Wi-Fi, has 3G capability and comes with applications of popular social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter The mobile phone has a 1000 mAh battery and will be priced at Rs 5,590.

The Samsung Chat 527 (S5270)

Unlike Champ, Chat527 looks similar to the Facebook phones doing the rounds these days. It has a QWERTY keyboard and comes with an optical track pad for navigation. It has a 2.4 inch screen (320x240 pixels resolution) and comes with 80MB of internal memory that is expandable up to 16GB (again with the help of a microSD card).

The mobile phone comes with Facebook and Twitter apps (like in S3770), IM services and it has an FM radio. Also, an ActiveSync application is implanted into the phone which provides the user with Push e-mail services. It also has a 2 mega pixel rear camera with video capability.

Similar to Champ 3.5G, Chat 527 phone has 3G, comes with a 1000 mAh battery and will be available for a price of 5,290, making it the cheapest of the three new mobile phones from Samsung.

The Samsung Primo (S5610)

This one has a 2.4 inch TFT display (240x320 pixels resolution) and comes with a 5 mega pixel autofocus rear camera (the best out of the three) with flash and a front facing VGA camera. The internal memory of the mobile phone is 108MB which is also expandable up to 16GB.

Samsung Primo also has the social networking apps like the ones available in Champ 3.5G and Chat 527 and it also comes with Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. Like the previous mobile phones, this one also has a 1000 mAh battery and it is priced a little higher than the other two at Rs 6590.

With the addition of the third phone, Samsung has covered three different form factors.
