Ashish Mathur has been appointed as the Managing Director of Iris India, an integrated marketing agency. Mathur will now be responsible for running the agency of 60 people and its work for clients like Coca-cola, Sony Ericsson, Microsoft and Adidas. He was earlier working as senior vice president, experiential, at Iris since October 2009.
Launched in London in 1999, Iris is a creative agency that delivers marketing campaigns for clients like Adidas, Sony Ericsson, Shell, VW and Coca-Cola. Today Iris has over 750 employees working across 22 offices in 15 countries.
"India is one of the fastest evolving markets in the world and we are working with some great clients and winning a lot of new business. Ashish has a big job on his hands and he's the right man to steer the agency through this special growth phase of the India office, while also consolidating our existing business here." said Stewart Shanley, Chief Operating Officer, Iris.
Mathur comes with more than 25 years of experience in developing experiential and integrated marketing programmes for clients across industry segments. Before joining Iris, he worked as senior vice president, activation at Publicis and as COO (N and E) of Percept D'Mark before that. Before joining Percept, he was heading Ogilvy's Activation business. He has also worked on global blue-chip brands such as American Express, Beam Global, GSK, GeneralMotors, Motorola, Aviva and Google.
